A Mother’s Love

A mother’s love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path. —Agatha Christie
REFLECTION: I held the privilege of teaching a most amazing group of yogis tonight at The Yoga Fusion Studio in Chevy Chase, MD. It’s such an incredible, nurturing space. I am reminded again and again of the strength building, peace cultivating, and karmic (or pattern) burning process the experience that some practices can be. This group worked with focus and the perfect balance of effort and ease. They transformed not only their individual energy but also the energy of the collective space. I too was transformed in their presence. And in the silence… after their “hard” work was done, this simple message came to me:
Day-to-day… Do you dwell in a vibration of fear or love? Choose love.
Do you create stress or cultivate relaxation? Choose relaxation.
Such a simple teaching. Such an obvious choice. The warmth and the grace of this space reminds me of none other than… a (my) Mother’s Love.
